A local native.  Bursting with sulphur-yellow springtime flowers.  Followed by “grapes” later in the season, next to spiny leaves.

Oregon grape.  Mahonia.

  1. I am looking out the kitchen window at one blooming in our yard. “Thanks” to the birds because I didn’t plant it!
